Registration is free but compulsory. Hit any Register button on this page and it takes you to our registration form on awsusergroupwestafrica.com. Register once and you are covered for both Day 1 (virtual) and Day 2 (in person).
We send a confirmation email to the address you registered with. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it in your inbox. If it still has not arrived after 24 hours, email the organizing team and we will confirm your spot manually.
Use the Apply to Speak link in the menu. Tell us your session idea, the level it is pitched at, and a short bio. Talks that fit this year’s theme, Scaling Agentic AI across Enterprises with AWS, get priority.
The community runs on volunteers. Email the organizing team with "Volunteer" in the subject and tell us what you would like to help with: logistics, registration desk, media, or session support.
Yes. Both days are free to attend. Registration is compulsory because seats at Zone Tech Park are limited and we plan capacity from the registration list.
Day 1 (Friday 16 October) is fully virtual and open to anyone across West Africa via live stream. Day 2 (Saturday 17 October) is the in-person day at Zone Tech Park, Gbagada, Lagos, with panel sessions and hands-on time.
Yes. Many people join Day 1 online and come in for Day 2, or attend only one. Register once and come to whichever days work for you.
Last year two laptops went home with attendees. We will announce this year’s giveaways closer to the date. Being registered and present is how you qualify.
No. AWS Community Day is organized by the AWS Cloud Security User Group, West Africa. It is a community-run event and not an official AWS event.
